After spending over 10 years unoccupied, a large space on the 5th floor has been renovated and leased to the Stone Soup Cooperative. The renovation, which took two months, has rehabbed the area into the most sustainably ‘green’ space in the building.The result is a low-impact, energy efficient, sustainably designed living space for the community of over 15 people. 'Stone Soup Sheridan', formerly Stone Soup Ashland, is one of the three Stone Soup Cooperative houses and intentional communities in Chicago. These communities are designed to provide an affordable and healthy living environment for people committed to social justice work.
