Chief Operating Officer Lesley Showers joined 30 other community leaders for a North Side meeting with the soon-to-be-Mayor Lori Lightfoot. The North Side meeting was one of six organized throughout the city by LISC Chicago, a trusted partner with which ICA has worked on several projects, including training their staff and neighborhood partners in Technology of Participation (ToP)® methods and supporting their Quality of Life Planning efforts.
North River Commission and Near North Unity Project, both members of the LISC-organized One Chicago for All alliance, co-hosted the May 15th meeting at Noon-O-Kabab in Albany Park. Participants spoke about public safety, immigration, and housing and education equity in their neighborhoods. Lightfoot, having read the briefing memos, acknowledged ICA GreenRise by name and was supportive of all the work that is currently being done by the organizations in attendance. Comments are closed.
