ICA Legacy Society

The Legacy Society honors colleagues who support ICA through a bequest intention, donations of life insurance, IRA gifts, or other types of charitable planned gifts.

Consult with an attorney or other professional to determine what is best for your individual needs. There are many ways to structure your giving but the most common are:
IRA Rollover
If you are age 70½ or older, you may make a gift of up to $100,000 this year from your IRA to a charity that qualifies for your required minimum distribution (RMD) amount.
Bequest
Your gift to ICA-USA is included as a bequest in your will or trust. As a future gift, a bequest is one of the easiest ways for you to make a planned gift.

Symbol is Key

The act of including the Institute of Cultural Affairs in a donor’s will is more important than the actual amount that each donor designates. Why? Because this action alone provides a symbol of the impact and promise ICA programs can provide. In this vein, while we encourage Legacy donors to inform us of their decision, ICA does not need to be informed of the specifics.

Legacy Spotlight:

Ruth & Ken Gilbert

For 25 years of our life we were full time participants with the Order/ICA. They were good years....

We give to [ICA] now and in deaths... as it cares for human community and ways for people to participate in it.
